A Space Between

This project explores the vernacular imagery of place, focusing on the overlooked details and everyday environments that shape our understanding of the landscapes we inhabit.

Through a documentary approach, the work considers how ordinary spaces hold traces of history, identity, and lived experience. Rather than seeking out moments of spectacle, the photographs look towards the familiar — the architecture, objects and fragments of everyday life that quietly reveal the character of a location.

Influenced by the traditions of vernacular photography and archival practice, the project reflects on how places are recorded, remembered, and transformed over time. These images act as visual records of environments in transition, preserving moments that might otherwise be overlooked while exploring the relationship between people, place, and memory.
